First Cast: Women's Intro to Fly Fishing
Join us for a three-day, two night, women-only weekend designed to introduce you to the art of fly fishing in a welcoming, supportive environment. Whether you've never picked up a fly rod, or want to master your technique, this experience is about learning new skills, connecting with nature, and building community with like-minded women.
No experience necessary, equipment provided.
You can expect to learn:
Fly Fishing basics
Casting
Fishing gear and equipment
Techniques specific to different species & location
Fish handling and best practices when out on the water
Tips from experienced local guides
Knowledge on local ecosystems
What’s included:
2 Night stay in Mammoth lakes, in a cozy cabin located central to the lakes & village.
Full Guided Fly Fishing Experience
1 hour Casting Technique
5 hours on the water
1 hour leaning the in’s n out’s of navigating a tackle shop, flys, rods, bait etc.
All rentals (Fly rod, flys, Waders etc)

Located in Mammoth Slopes, surrounded by local bike trails, hiking trails, and lakes, with easy access to Mammoth Mountain, Devils Postpile, Reds Meadow, Yosemite National Park, and countless alpine lakes throughout the Eastern Sierra. This home is within a 10 minute walk to The Village, where you'll find restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, shopping, live music, and year round events. It offers the perfect balance of convenience and seclusion, allowing you to enjoy everything Mammoth has to offer while coming home to a quiet neighborhood surrounded by towering pines.

Learn reading water, casting techniques, and fish behavior
One-on-one instruction and practice
Head to the shop for an educational session on gear, flys, and get all the education needed for your own solo excursion.
